Providing Digbeth

Providing Digbeth

Provide is the latest independent to hit Digbeth's evolving street style scene. Having worked in Eastside for the last 4 years it gives me a warm feeling to see the pop up of new creatives outlets, including mid-century furniture shops Blakeley-Browns and Ffrenchies (and not forgetting the expansion of food hubs and even cash machines to the area).

Choose adventure, embrace failure and defy the impossible. Provide stocks a range of independent menswear including the Tuk Tuk label - a Sri Lanka brand, taking inspiration from South Asia, tailoring garments that fit well, with vintage fabrics, parallel to the stores' brand ethos. Don't forget to compliment the changing room curtain if you pop by and try something on.

Matt's store provides a space for the creative community, bringing new brands to Birmingham and offering a platform for local talent. The store stocks good reads too, including publications from our friends at Boat Magazine, FAKE and Quoteskine.

Starting as a pop up during the summer it then closed its doors for a big autumnal launch. The walls have been stripped back to their original brickwork, there's customised Provide stamped wheely seats (now with cushions) and the latest additions are some statement Plumen bulbs.

If you like the sound of all that and free beer also tickles your fancy, then get down this Saturday (29th September) from 5pm for the grand opening. There's a cheeky little video teaser from Craig Bush on the site too.
